LEED Platinum Target

Pre-construction services revolving around the schematic design and coordination for a new school in Cambodia targeting technological integration into supplemental learning. With the goals of sustainability within a landscape of unpredictable municipal services, the design takes advantage of back-up power generation, green roofs and photovoltaic panels, with solar shading provided to the southern face by hung bamboo screening. The orientation of the building and distribution of program was chosen in response to seasonal prevailing winds to facilitate natural air cooling for as many classrooms as possible. The distribution of planted, exterior classroom spaces help to promote air flow and further connect students to the natural environment.
