An installation designed for Cook+Fox Architects embraced the goal of displaying the firm’s mission to sustainability while inherently performing sustainably by being reused and adjusted for subsequent installations. The system begins with two wooden frames that define a two sided plane of display space. Each frame is hinged along a single edge to yield a pair that can be opened to stand on its own or closed for storage and transit. Constructed of Timberstrand, an engineered lumber product similar to Oriented Strand Board that is made from recycled wood scraps, each panel hosts a series of horizontal rods with a system of MDF panels and components for attachment for flexible display options.
